That is a tight end worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
