Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall
B-
ValueB
NeedB-
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Dolphins kept it disciplined and banked a B-. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Dolphins did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to wide receiver, which was the need that mattered most.
That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.
They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick13
Rnd1
Jahdae Barron
In the 13th pick they get a potential shutdown corner. More want than need.
Pick48
Rnd2
Wyatt Milum
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Wyatt Milum at Round 2, Pick 16. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick98
Rnd3
Will Howard
They paid sticker price for Will Howard in slot 98, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
