Draft Grade — Panthers
Overall
B-
ValueC
NeedA-
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Panthers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-. The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named cornerback, a need the Panthers walked right past.
The Walker reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick8
Rnd1
Jalon Walker
In Round 1, Pick 8 they get a downhill thumper at linebacker, though they paid up to get him. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick57
Rnd2
Jaylin Noel
They took Jaylin Noel at par in the 57th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick74
Rnd3
Jordan Burch
The board had cheaper options than Jordan Burch at the Round 3 slot, and it noticed. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
