Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B
ValueB
NeedA-
TradesB-
FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Seahawks: B. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Seahawks did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to offensive lineman, which was the need that mattered most. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but offensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Tetairoa McMillan
Good price on Tetairoa McMillan in the Round 1 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick50
Rnd2
JT Tuimoloau
No edge and no loss on JT Tuimoloau in the 50th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick52
Rnd2
Harold Fannin Jr.
A market-rate tight end, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Harold Fannin Jr.. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
