Jaydin DRAFTING FOR THEVikings
Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall
B-
ValueB

FutureB-
Good, not great, for the Vikings: B-. It is the swing that defines the weekend: Brashard Smith in No. 97, a good 38 spots before the room expected him.
Harvey at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.
Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The skill positions did well by the weekend.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
Tetairoa McMillan
In the 24th pick they get a No. 1 receiver, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick97
Rnd3
Brashard Smith
Brashard Smith at pick 97 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick139
Rnd5
O'Donnell Fortune
A premium they did not need to pay, O'Donnell Fortune a notch or two before his time. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick187
Rnd6
RJ Harvey
They robbed the room for RJ Harvey here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
