Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Packers.

Hard to follow the map here. The Packers bypassed quarterback, wide receiver and other spots to take Dadrion Taylor-Demerson at pick No. 91, a spot they had covered.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Braswell pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Bortolini has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Cooper DeJean
In No. 25 they get a lockdown presence outside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick41 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper in the 41st overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick58 Rnd2 Chris Braswell
Chris Braswell slid further than he should have, and No. 58 is lovely value for the edge rusher. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick88 Rnd3 Jaden Hicks
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jaden Hicks in pick 88. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick91 Rnd3 Dadrion Taylor-Demerson
The eyebrow-raiser of the weekend. They went safety with Dadrion Taylor-Demerson while clear needs at quarterback, wide receiver and other spots sat open.
Pick126 Rnd4 Mohamed Kamara
They took Mohamed Kamara at par in slot 126, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick169 Rnd5 Tanor Bortolini
A big swing on Tanor Bortolini at Round 5, Pick 33, well ahead of any board in the building. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick202 Rnd6 Caedan Wallace
Caedan Wallace in the Round 6 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It fills a real need, too.
Pick219 Rnd6 Dominique Hampton
The board had cheaper options than Dominique Hampton at the 219th pick, and it noticed. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick245 Rnd7 Trevin Wallace
Trevin Wallace at pick 245 is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick255 Rnd7 Rasheen Ali
By-the-book stuff, Rasheen Ali at No. 255 squarely in line with his ranking. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
