Goku122 DRAFTING FOR THEBrowns

Draft Grade — Browns
Overall
D
ValueB
NeedA-
TradesF
FutureB-
Williams is the plan now, and the Browns grade out a D. Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Browns, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.
So much rides on Caleb Williams that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Landing Adams that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
Pick Analysis
Pick2
Rnd1
Caleb Williams
In the 2nd overall pick they get their quarterback of the future. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick40
Rnd2
Adonai Mitchell
They took Adonai Mitchell at par in No. 40, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick59
Rnd2
Brandon Dorlus
Brandon Dorlus at slot 59 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick67
Rnd3
Edgerrin Cooper
A clean, defensible pick in Round 3, Pick 3 with a little surplus value in Edgerrin Cooper. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick90
Rnd3
Zak Zinter
A straight-up fair deal on Zak Zinter at pick No. 90, value and slot in agreement. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick138
Rnd5
Isaiah Adams
Value with a capital V on Isaiah Adams in the 138th pick, a genuine coup. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick162
Rnd5
Ben Sinnott
Ben Sinnott at pick 162 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the tight end. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick199
Rnd6
Joshua Gray
Joshua Gray in the Round 6 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick210
Rnd6
Sheridan Jones
Sheridan Jones at pick No. 210 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick231
Rnd7
Dwight McGlothern
Nice patience on Dwight McGlothern, who had no business lasting to the 231st overall pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
