The Steelers did not so much draft Taulia Tagovailoa as overpay for him, 36 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They will answer for taking offensive lineman early while safety, edge rusher and other spots went begging. The Coleman pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
