Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Bills spent No. 163 on M.J. Devonshire, a name most had 27 spots down the list. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. However the rest shakes out, Washington at that price is a win they earned. On the needs board they went 7 of 9, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
