Start where it matters. The Raiders took Fernando Mendoza to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They banked enough surplus on Slaughter to cover a lot of smaller sins. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
