Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall C+
ValueC- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Flashes of a plan, unevenly executed. Eagles: C+.

The Eagles spent real capital to be 208 picks early on Chip Trayanum, and the board is going to hold them to it. Call it a C+ and check back in two years.

A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. Landing Warren that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In the Round 1 slot they get a red-zone target to build around, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick64 Rnd2 JT Tuimoloau
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and JT Tuimoloau at pick 64 is the proof. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick96 Rnd3 Kevin Winston Jr.
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kevin Winston Jr.. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick149 Rnd5 Jordan Hancock
They reached into another round for Jordan Hancock, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It fills a real need, too.
Pick164 Rnd5 Nazir Stackhouse
They talked themselves into Nazir Stackhouse at No. 164, and the board did not agree. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick165 Rnd5 Jack Kiser
They paid up for Jack Kiser at the 165th pick when waiting would have done the job. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick168 Rnd5 Jalen Travis
Jalen Travis at the 168th pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick171 Rnd5 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Dont'e Thornton Jr. at the Round 5 slot is a conviction pick that outran the value. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick174 Rnd5 Garrett Dellinger
Value said wait; Garrett Dellinger in Round 5, Pick 36 says they were not listening. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick211 Rnd6 Donovan Smith
Donovan Smith at the 211th overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The roster fit checks out.
Pick247 Rnd7 Chip Trayanum
Chip Trayanum at No. 247 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A need, and now a little less of one.
