The Bears ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

The cost of the Holker reach is exactly the players who went right after him. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. The Kendall Fuller deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
