Call it larceny. Tykee Smith sat on the board until pick 195, and the Steelers did not need to be asked twice.

They will need McCaffrey to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Frazier pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, edge rusher and other spots still on the board.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
