The Steelers did not so much draft Charles Turner III as overpay for him, 72 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it. The Coleman steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Job largely done: quarterback settled and 5 of 9 of the wish list covered.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
