Good, not great, for the Patriots: B+. Boards are made to be trusted, and the Patriots shredded theirs for Matthew Jones. He came off 25 spots early, and the room will hear about it. No fireworks, but a solid B+.
The Patriots indulged a want in Carson while a need in edge rusher and safety stayed open. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
The Carson steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
