Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Isaiah Bond got past him. The Bears do not have to explain a thing at the 148th pick. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

They will need McLaughlin to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
