More right than wrong for the 49ers, and a B to prove it.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The 49ers did exactly that with David Oke in pick 126. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Slaughter. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

In pick 26 they get a difference-maker at receiver. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick57 Rnd2 Jake Slaughter
A offensive lineman of that caliber at No. 57 is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick91 Rnd3 Cayden Green
They paid sticker price for Cayden Green in the 91st overall pick, and that is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick126 Rnd4 David Oke
A big swing on David Oke at pick No. 126, well ahead of any board in the building. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick134 Rnd4 Blake Miller
No edge and no loss on Blake Miller in Round 4, Pick 34; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
