The tape said wait; the Steelers did not. Carson Vinson went at Round 6, Pick 9, a good 49 picks before the board was ready. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
