The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Whatever Jayden Daniels becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
