You can draft well and still miss the point. The Jaguars did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to wide receiver, which was the need that mattered most.

The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend. They went 1 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
