Draft Grade — Bears
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Bears won the night they stopped Bryant from sliding. Grade: B.

You build a draft on nights like this. Cobee Bryant had no business being available in pick 240, and the Bears did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with interior defensive lineman the one that mattered most.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick10 Rnd1 Will Campbell
In the 10th overall pick they get a blindside protector at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick39 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
By-the-book stuff, Tyler Booker at slot 39 squarely in line with his ranking. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick41 Rnd2 Malaki Starks
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Malaki Starks at pick 41 is the proof. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick81 Rnd3 Quinshon Judkins
A tidy bit of business in No. 81, where Quinshon Judkins graded well above the range. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick148 Rnd5 Darius Alexander
Darius Alexander in the 148th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick153 Rnd5 Cody Simon
Steal is underselling it; Cody Simon at the Round 5 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick233 Rnd7 KeAndre Lambert-Smith
KeAndre Lambert-Smith at pick No. 233 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The roster fit checks out.
Pick240 Rnd7 Cobee Bryant
They barely believed it either: Cobee Bryant still on the board at Round 7, Pick 24. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
