The Jets let Pearsall fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Ricky Pearsall got past him. The Jets do not have to explain a thing at the Round 7 slot. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The Nelson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Adding Trey Smith by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
