The Panthers clearly saw something nobody else did in Xavier Thomas, taking him 31 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
