The steal of the weekend belongs to the Panthers and Keegan: A-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Trevor Keegan tumbling to the Panthers in pick 197 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
