The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Panthers watched Cole Bishop slide 38 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

They will need Gargiulo to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Quinyon Mitchell and all.
