If confidence were a draft strategy, the Patriots would have aced it. Da'Shawn Womack at Round 7, Pick 28 is 66 spots clear of where he belonged. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
