Quarterback settled, Williams in the fold, and a B+ for the Bears.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Caleb Williams is the Bears' quarterback, full stop. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Mahogany. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

It is not that Solomon is a bad player; it is that the Bears had louder needs to answer first.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
