The Patriots finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a A-.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Bo Nix is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A-.

The Leary reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.

They banked enough surplus on Smith-Wade to cover a lot of smaller sins. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

With edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on DT-EDGE is the choice that costs them.

Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
