You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Bears did exactly that with Richard Jibunor in the Round 7 slot.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Everything downstream of Caleb Williams depends on Caleb Williams, and the building knows it. The Bears indulged a want in Solomon while a need in running back stayed open.

The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Ford.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.
