The 49ers got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the C.

The rest of the league had time to spare on Torricelli Simpkins III; the 49ers did not wait, grabbing him 42 spots ahead at pick No. 227. For now it grades a C, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Hit on Will Campbell and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
