Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall C+
ValueC- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Dart is the Raiders' new face under center. Grade: C+.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Raiders committed. Jaxson Dart is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

They are betting Dart proves the room right and everyone else wrong. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Egbuka falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Jaxson Dart
They talked themselves into Jaxson Dart at pick No. 6, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick37 Rnd2 Emeka Egbuka
Emeka Egbuka is a better player than slot 37 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick68 Rnd3 Darien Porter
They paid up for Darien Porter at the 68th pick when waiting would have done the job. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick108 Rnd4 Billy Bowman Jr.
Billy Bowman Jr. in pick 108 is fair value, right on his grade. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick143 Rnd5 Tyler Shough
A market-rate quarterback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Tyler Shough. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick180 Rnd6 Raheim Sanders
A reasonable price with a little left over, Raheim Sanders in No. 180. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick213 Rnd6 Luke Lachey
Good price on Luke Lachey in Round 6, Pick 37, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The roster fit checks out.
Pick215 Rnd6 Kobe Hudson
Kobe Hudson in the 215th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick222 Rnd7 Jamon Dumas-Johnson
Jamon Dumas-Johnson at pick 222 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
