Loveland should have been long gone. The Patriots pounced, and earned a A-.

The real work happened on the phones. The Patriots fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

The Loveland pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Adding Caelen Carson by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Bottom line, with Armand Membou leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
