Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall A-
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureA
Grand theft in pick No. 112: the Raiders steal Wilson and grade out a A-.

If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Raiders, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend.

Getting Wilson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The cost of the Ford reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

In the end it comes back to Kool-Aid McKinstry, and a haul good enough to build on right away.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Kool-Aid McKinstry
In No. 32 they get an island corner, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick55 Rnd2 Tyler Guyton
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Tyler Guyton at pick 55. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick80 Rnd3 Spencer Rattler
Spencer Rattler at Round 3, Pick 16 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick86 Rnd3 Michael Hall Jr.
No edge and no loss on Michael Hall Jr. in the Round 3 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick98 Rnd3 Zak Zinter
Zak Zinter in the 98th overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick112 Rnd4 Roman Wilson
You do not let a wide receiver like Roman Wilson reach the 112th pick and blink. They did not. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick132 Rnd4 Tommy Eichenberg
Nothing to complain about; Tommy Eichenberg went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick150 Rnd5 Braelon Allen
No drama and no debate, Braelon Allen went about where he belonged in pick No. 150. It fills a real need, too.
Pick151 Rnd5 Jaylan Ford
They left a pile of value on the table to take Jaylan Ford this early at Round 5, Pick 15. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick173 Rnd5 Layden Robinson
Good price on Layden Robinson in No. 173, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick177 Rnd6 Jaylin Simpson
Jaylin Simpson in the Round 6 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick190 Rnd6 Isaiah Williams
A conviction pick on Isaiah Williams at slot 190 that the board grades a round light. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
