Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Ravens a B-.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Ravens took Khalid Duke a full 41 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

However the rest shakes out, Dorlus at that price is a win they earned. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Amarius Mims
In slot 30 they get a blindside protector. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick62 Rnd2 Ja'Lynn Polk
Ja'Lynn Polk in pick No. 62 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick93 Rnd3 Brandon Dorlus
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Brandon Dorlus at the 93rd overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
Pick113 Rnd4 Josh Newton
They jumped the gun on Josh Newton, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick130 Rnd4 Javion Cohen
Javion Cohen at pick 130 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick165 Rnd5 Tykee Smith
Tykee Smith at Round 5, Pick 29 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick218 Rnd6 Edefuan Ulofoshio
Edefuan Ulofoshio in the Round 6 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick228 Rnd7 Tylan Grable
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Tylan Grable. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick250 Rnd7 Khalid Duke
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Khalid Duke well ahead of where he belonged. A need, and now a little less of one.
