The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Raiders watched Azareye'h Thomas slide 120 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They will need Rourke to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
