If confidence were a draft strategy, the Raiders would have aced it. Jamon Dumas-Johnson at the 222nd overall pick is 31 spots clear of where he belonged.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end. Grant at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
