Draft Grade — Rams
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
The Rams checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

The Rams went off the board in a big way for Justin Eboigbe, 49 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

The Worthy pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick24 Rnd1 Quinyon Mitchell
In slot 24 they get a ballhawk on the outside. More want than need.
Pick52 Rnd2 Bralen Trice
A premium they did not need to pay, Bralen Trice a notch or two before his time. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick83 Rnd3 Xavier Worthy
You do not let a wide receiver like Xavier Worthy reach the 83rd overall pick and blink. They did not. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick87 Rnd3 Dominick Puni
Dominick Puni at the Round 3 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick99 Rnd3 Justin Eboigbe
They reached into another round for Justin Eboigbe, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick120 Rnd4 Mohamed Kamara
Mohamed Kamara in Round 4, Pick 20 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick154 Rnd5 Tykee Smith
Tykee Smith in pick No. 154 is fair value, right on his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick196 Rnd6 Curtis Jacobs
A straight-up fair deal on Curtis Jacobs at the Round 6 slot, value and slot in agreement. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick209 Rnd6 Myles Murphy
They paid up for Myles Murphy at Round 6, Pick 34 when waiting would have done the job. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick213 Rnd6 Josh Proctor
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Josh Proctor well ahead of where he belonged. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick217 Rnd6 Miyan Williams
A real head-scratcher, Miyan Williams in the 217th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick254 Rnd7 De'Corian Clark
A big swing on De'Corian Clark at No. 254, well ahead of any board in the building. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
