The Bengals found their guy under center in Daniels: D. The phones were a trap the Bengals kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.
Whatever Jayden Daniels becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. They are betting Solomon proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
Spending an early pick on OLB-EDGE with interior defensive lineman and linebacker open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The Kinchens steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
