The board owed the Commanders one, and it paid up: Cedric Gray, the No. 135 name on the board, sitting there at Round 7, Pick 3 like a gift left on the doorstep. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up.
