The Steelers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B.

The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named edge rusher, a need the Steelers walked right past. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The cost of the Giddens reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Farmer. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
