For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The 49ers walked out of the weekend still thin at wide receiver, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
