Singleton should have been long gone. The Saints pounced, and earned a B.

The Saints did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Nicholas Singleton fell into the 183rd overall pick. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

They are betting Jackson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Job largely done: cornerback settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
