Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall
B
ValueB

TradesB-
FutureB-
Grand theft in the 108th overall pick: the Dolphins steal Singleton Jr. and grade out a B. Call it larceny. Eric Singleton Jr. sat on the board until the 108th pick, and the Dolphins did not need to be asked twice. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
Fite has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Keldric Faulk
In the Round 1 slot they get a bendy edge with upside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick35
Rnd2
Carnell Tate
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Carnell Tate at the 35th overall pick is the proof. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick66
Rnd3
Olaivavega Ioane
They went early on Olaivavega Ioane in slot 66, and the value did not follow. It fills a real need, too.
Pick73
Rnd3
C.J. Fite
C.J. Fite in pick No. 73 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick108
Rnd4
Eric Singleton Jr.
Eric Singleton Jr. at Round 4, Pick 8 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick136
Rnd4
Justice Haynes
They let Justice Haynes come to them and pounced at pick 136. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick146
Rnd5
Blake Miller
They read the board right and Blake Miller was the payoff at No. 146. The roster fit checks out.
Pick223
Rnd7
Shamar Easter
A market-rate tight end, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Shamar Easter. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick253
Rnd7
Hykeem Williams
No drama and no debate, Hykeem Williams went about where he belonged in Round 7, Pick 35. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
