The Connor Colby selection is the head-turner. The Saints reached 85 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Bryant at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
