You build a draft on nights like this. Phil Mafah had no business being available in the Round 7 slot, and the Steelers did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They will need Zabel to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
