You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Eagles did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.

Spending an early pick on linebacker with interior defensive lineman, quarterback and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Reaching for Blue left real value on the table behind him.

They banked enough surplus on Grant to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
