Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Ravens.

You can hear the double-takes from here. The Ravens took Khalid Duke at the 228th overall pick, roughly 63 spots before his name belonged. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. However the rest shakes out, Hart at that price is a win they earned.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Darius Robinson
In pick 30 they get a premier pass rusher, reach and all.
Pick62 Rnd2 Kingsley Suamataia
Kingsley Suamataia at Round 2, Pick 30 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick93 Rnd3 Christian Mahogany
Christian Mahogany in the Round 3 slot is fair value, right on his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick113 Rnd4 Cam Hart
Value with a capital V on Cam Hart in pick No. 113, a genuine coup. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick130 Rnd4 Jacob Cowing
Jacob Cowing at the 130th pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick165 Rnd5 Marist Liufau
They paid sticker price for Marist Liufau in slot 165, and that is fine. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick218 Rnd6 Dominique Hampton
A reach on Dominique Hampton in pick 218; the board had better options right there. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick228 Rnd7 Khalid Duke
Khalid Duke at the 228th overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It fills a real need, too.
Pick250 Rnd7 Blake Watson
Blake Watson in the Round 7 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
