The Texans won the night they stopped Singleton from sliding. Grade: B+.

Call it larceny. Nicholas Singleton sat on the board until Round 6, Pick 26, and the Texans did not need to be asked twice. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

The Jackson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The Texans paired the rookies with proven help, Travis Jones leading the way. Job largely done: running back settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
