The steal of the weekend belongs to the Steelers and Melton: F.

The phones were a trap the Steelers kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. There is no dressing it up: a F.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Steelers had louder needs to answer first. The Williams reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

That Melton pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

In the end, a class that has to defy its grades just to matter.
