A franchise passer in Dart headlines a B- weekend for the Steelers.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Steelers committed. Jaxson Dart is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

Gadsden II falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. If Dart pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick21 Rnd1 Jaxson Dart
In the 21st pick they get a passer to set the clock by, though the board says they badly overpaid. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick83 Rnd3 Ozzy Trapilo
Ozzy Trapilo at slot 83 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick123 Rnd4 Kobe King
Kobe King at pick No. 123 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick156 Rnd5 Pat Bryant
Pat Bryant in Round 5, Pick 18 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The roster fit checks out.
Pick185 Rnd6 Bhayshul Tuten
They robbed the room for Bhayshul Tuten here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick229 Rnd7 Oronde Gadsden II
They will replay Oronde Gadsden II at the 229th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
